SEO for laptoria.de: +62% Non-Brand Traffic in 3 Months

Project Goal

laptoria.de is one of Germany’s leading online shops for refurbished laptops, mini PCs and docking stations, running on WooCommerce. In June 2026, a comprehensive SEO audit was conducted to identify growth potential in organic non-brand traffic and develop concrete recommendations for technical SEO and on-page optimizations for further implementation.

Challenge

The shop was generating a large number of URLs through product filters and parameters, unnecessarily consuming Google’s crawl budget. Additionally, the sitemap contained pages that shouldn’t have been there, key category pages were missing H1 tags, structured data for out-of-stock products was misconfigured, and meta titles and descriptions across category and product pages needed improvement.

Project Details

The audit resulted in concrete recommendations across several areas. On the technical side, the main focus was preserving crawl budget: filter-based URLs and parameter pages were blocked via robots.txt, outdated and unfinished pages were removed from the sitemap and set to noindex. The MailPoet sitemap was also deactivated, as it was consuming Google’s resources unnecessarily.

For on-page SEO, adjustments to meta titles and descriptions were recommended — including adding the word “Refurbished” to product titles and shorter, clearer descriptions on category pages. Missing H1 tags on the homepage and category pages were identified and solutions proposed. As part of WooCommerce SEO, it was also recommended to introduce SEO texts on category pages, which were completely absent.

At the structured data level, it was found that out-of-stock products had the “offers” field missing from their schema entirely, rather than indicating OutOfStock status. Category pages were also missing AggregateOffer snippets that competitors already use to display price ranges and ratings directly in search results.

Results

Non-brand traffic for laptoria.de grew by 62% in the three months following the audit — from 4,501 to 7,258 clicks. Impressions increased by 65% (from 297,720 to 491,331), and the average position improved from 12.1 to 9.4.

An additional indicator of positive development comes from AI search: impressions in Google’s generative AI features grew to 19,380 over the last 28 days — compared to 13,292 in the previous 28 days. As Google only recently introduced this report, longer comparison periods are not yet available, but the trend is clearly positive.
